Twitter Tools #1: Twitter Counter
Everybody has a routine and everyone has tools that they use. I have tested many twitter tools in hopes to find some that make my experience better and make me more efficient. I would suggest that if you have thought about tools or have used various tools please continue and remember:
Let your curiosity guide you as testing in all things yields the best results.
Introducing: Twitter Counter (http://twittercounter.com/)
I would like to share with you a small tool that I leave open in the browser and check from time to time to check see if I am growing. I will admit that this is more out of curiosity than necessity but I like to see it and I don’t want to spend time trying to calculate anything. I know there are many other tools out there to check your following growth and some people tweet out how many people they follow and unfollow( I have tried that too but it serves little purpose for me).
Now TwitterCounter offers other services like gaining followers, etc. I ignore them. I have and would pay again for the service to see all stats as I have done it in the past but being an enormously curious person, I give myself one test subscription every month to try different tools and right I am spending this somewhere else( another discussion).
What I like best about Twitter Counter is the slide graph and the predictability.
It is interesting to see the followers daily, weekly and monthly as an overview and also be able to set a date range. I have set the from date below to 01/01/2012 this will yield what I call my “Forever Follow”.
Forever Follow. Please notice it doesn’t go all the back to Jan. 01, 2012 as I was not on twitter at that time.
It also offered in the free version, the ability to set up two other parameters to show on the graph.
Followers vs. Tweets
Followers vs. Following
Finally, I like the prediction part. It is based on your pattern of following so if you have a bad week the predictions will change as expected. It is a really nice, simple overview that one can stare out for along time. I do like the followers slidebar to the bottom right.
If you slide that along up to 30 days it will predict based on current the following rate what you can expect to get in 30 days. As you can see from the above and the below, I can expect to grow almost 3000 followers in 30 days.
TwitterCounter is a non complicated tool for everyone. It gives a simple and nice user interface for everyone to understand.
